500,000 iPhones being sold in South Korea in last 4 Months

South Korea, home to two major manufacturers name of the phone, you see the pride and joy of Apple taking the country by storm as the sales of the iPhone 3G continue to roll on. First launched by KT, the sole wireless carrier to sell the iPhone in South Korea, there have been over 500,000 units sold since November 28, 2009 – equivalent to approximately 4,000 iPhones sold each day. With that staggering, South Korea has become only the seventh country in the world that surpass that mark – which leads people to wonder if there is any sign of slowdown provided with the product from Apple. When compared with its local rival and contemporary, the Samsung Omnia 2 still looks pretty impressive that the iPhone is able to gather their own followers – Omnia 2 hit the 600,000 mark during the same period. Apple iPhone users in South Korea are unique and finding that KT has stated that “the average monthly wireless data used by subscribers iPhone is 44 times more” compared to other handset subscribers. Not only are sales of sausages are also beginning to pick up thanks in part to its use as a pencil, but the mobile content market in Korea has soared as well – is A 470 million won (400,000 dollars) of business.
