Samsung has official announced the launch date and price of its new smartphone, called the Samsung Droid Charge. This Samsung 4G LTE phone is designed for Verizon and will be available in the US starting from April 28th for price of $299.99 with a 2-year contract.

Droid Charge mobile sports 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display screen with WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.Samsung Droid Charge is powered by a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor with the 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB internal storage memory.

There is also microSD card support for external memory expandable up to 32 GB. Droid Charge equipped with 8 mega pixel camera with autofocus and LED flash on the rear side to capture high quality images and capable of 1080p HD video recording while 1.3 megapixel camera on the front side for video chat.

Although Google Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system launched in the market but Samsung Droid Charge runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and features Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. Samsung Charge has various connectivity options like 4G LTE capability, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, AGPS, HDMI-out, DLNA capability and this phone can be also used as a Mobile hotspot for up to 8 devices.
